15 Tips for a Beautiful, Glowing Skin

Want to revive dry skin and achieve flawless status? Read on to find out how to improve your complexion!

Cleanse your skin properly

You have to wash your face before you go to bed. Didn’t you know that sleeping with your makeup on can make you age six years in one night? Your skin repairs itself at night so you have to allow it some room to breathe to repair your daily damage.

Use Sunscreen

Wear sunscreen every day, all year-long – No excuses. You have to have sunscreen with at least SPF to protect your skin from early aging, skin cancer and irrevocable damage. (It’s better to start caring for it now than later. Botox will bite.) You have to apply it even if it’s cloudy outside or you’re just walking your dog. Remember, prevention is better than cure.

Please Don’t Touch

Don’t touch your face so much and don’t prick your pimples and avoid touching your face to prevent the transfer of bacteria deeper into your skin. This might help prevent breakouts.

Exfoliation

Exfoliate your skin sometimes. It will help if you have exfoliating masks sometimes to remove the top layer of your skin to reveal the true complexion underneath. You can try this by buying an exfoliating product or by using a washcloth to rub your cleanser in. It will remove your dull or dead skin.

Eat Protein

Eat the right kind of protein. Didn’t you know that protein is necessary for cell repair? It will also help keep your aging in check. Examples of the correct protein products for your skin include egg whites and skinless chicken.

Fat is Good

Don’t worry about fat. Believe it or not, some fat is healthy. Fats and oils are good sources of anti-inflammatory protection and antioxidants. Some fatty fish contain omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon, mackerel and albacore tuna are great sources.

Water Works

Water is your best friend. We can’t say this enough but drinking eight to ten glasses per day helps your body to repair its organs better. It will also help you lose weight. What’s not to adore about water?

Consume Fiber

Have plenty of fiber that has lots of antioxidant properties and has Vitamin C and A. Try sweet potatoes, tomatoes, cantaloupe, oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit, spinach, turnip greens and even the humble broccoli. You need these foods to keep you glowing!

Lip Care

Apply chapstick or lip balm on your lips. Lips are made of skin too. You must protect it from sun damage.

Open Your Pores

Wash your face with warm or hot water to open your skin pores. Use your daily cleanser before or after washing your face. Apply an ice cube or wash your face with cold water to tighten your pores again.

Steam Your Pores

Steam your pores at least once a week. How? You have to boil a pot of water then add a drop of an essential oil like rosemary oil to smell good. Drape a towel over your hair and then hold your face about six inches above the water’s surface for about three to five minutes. Cleanse your face and then follow up with cold water. Or rub ice cubes all over your face.

Exercise is essential

If you do cardio then it will help you glow. It stimulates blood flow so aside from making you healthy, it clears up your skin too.

Moisture It

Use a moisturizer for your skin type. Use after exfoliating!

Forget Stress

Don’t stress too much. It makes you break-out! Learn to meditate so you can sit back and relax.

Sleep

You don’t know how many benefits sleep will give you. It will clear up your complexion in a minimum amount of time simply because your body has the chance to repair itself.
