Recipe – Hot And Crunchy Beef Nachos

Ingredients:

For the bean and beef mixture

Ground beef – 1 pound

Black beans – 15 ounces

White onion – 1 piece (small)

Extra virgin olive oil – 1(1/2) tablespoons

Cayenne pepper sauce – 1(1/2) teaspoons

Jalapeno pepper – (1/2) or 1 piece

Garlic – 1 or 2 cloves

Chili powder – 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder – 2 teaspoons

Salt – 1 teaspoon approximately or according to taste

For the cheese sauce

Jack cheese – (1/2) pound

Salted butter – 1(1/2) teaspoons

Milk – 1(1/2) cup

All purpose flour – 1(1/2) teaspoons

For the tomato salsa

Tomatoes – 4 or 5 pieces (large)

Garlic – 4 cloves

White onions – 2 pieces (small)

Jalapeno chili – (1/2) piece

Fresh cilantro or parsley – 4 or 5 leaves

Corn chips

Lemon juice – extracted from (3/4)th of a lemon

Salt (according to taste)

For the garnish

Hot pepper sauce – 2 tablespoons

Olives – 4 or 5 pieces

Fresh scallions – 4 or 5 pieces

Sour cream – (1/2) cup

Preparation:

Beef nachos’ is an uncomplicated spicy dish. A step-by-step guide can help you prepare this tongue-tickling foodstuff more quickly and easily. Let us start with the tomato salsa. Clean the tomatoes at first and dice them up into medium pieces. Also, wash and clean the white onions and chop them finely. Smash the garlic cloves neatly and chop the fresh cilantro or parsley leaves. Take the jalapeno chili, remove the seeds from it and chop it up. You can even take some more jalapenos to make your nachos hotter and spicier. In a mixing bowl, put the diced tomatoes, white onions, fresh cilantro or parsley leaves, jalapeno chili, smashed garlic and salt one by one and mix them with two small spoons. Add some lemon juice to it and blend the mixture again. Just keep your tomato salsa aside so that it can mingle with the flavors.

Now get ready for the bean and beef mixture. Take a skillet, pour some extra virgin olive oil into it and put it over medium flame. Wash and clean all the ingredients, such as black beans, white onion, jalapeno pepper and garlic. Now, chop the white onion, jalapeno pepper and garlic finely and add them to the skillet. Cook at least for 5 minutes till the onions become tender. Put the ground beef in the skillet and stir constantly for 1 minute to mix them well. Now, add the chili powder, cumin powder, salt and cayenne pepper sauce to the mixture one by one. Lower the flame and put the black beans in it. Simmer it for 3-4 minutes and stir continuously.

Now prepare the cheese sauce. Put a saucepan over medium heat. When heated, put the salted butter in it. Once melted completely, add the all purpose flour in the butter and mix them well. After 3-4 minutes, pour the milk into the mixture and let it boil for 5 minutes. Whenever the mixture starts bubbling, add the shredded jack cheese to it and start boiling.  Once gets thick, take the saucepan out of the flame and set it aside.

It is the time to serve now. On a serving dish, place the corn chips. Put the cheese sauce, bean and beef mixture and the tomato salsa one by one over the chips. Your hot and crispy beef nachos is ready now. Finally, garnish the nachos with hot pepper sauce, chopped olives, chopped fresh scallions and sour cream.
